Agency Republic
< back
Gav has worked with creative partner and wife Gemma since 1996. He's been nominated for a Best Director BAFTA. He helped Snow Patrol on their way to the top. He's hung Paul McCartney up on wires.
After directing music videos for several years Gav & Gemma worked at numerous traditional ad agencies before moving to glue London in 2002 where they became the agency's most awarded creative team. They joined Agency Republic as senior creatives in early 2005, tasked with re-invigorating the creative department. This they did, winning multiple international awards, becoming promoted to joint Creative Directors and leading Republic to be named Campaign's Digital Agency of the Year 2006. In early 2008 Gav became Executive Creative Director, and most recently he guided Republic to win Marketing's Digital Agency of the Year 2008.
With trophies from D&AD, One Show, Cannes Lions, Webby's and Eurobest under his belt, he is in regular demand as a speaker and a judge on awards juries such as D&AD, Campaign BIG Awards, London International Awards and Creative Circle amongst others.
He likes the people he works with to have as much fun as possible, and is passionate about innovation in communications. When not at work, he spends most of his time reading picture books, bouncing on the bed, drawing and playing hide-and-seek.
